Babies and Beyond Physical Therapy- The Purpose
When I became a mom, I quickly noticed the lack of resources on education supporting new parents about how to deal with the anxiety around baby’s milestones. When I left the hospital with my new baby, I was not given any kind of training or education on what kinda activities to do with newborn or how to trouble shoot tummy time battles. Luckily, being a pediatric PT for almost a decade had me equipped with all the necessary information and tools I needed to take care of my typically developing babies and promote their development. Talking with other mom friends and patients, I noticed a lack of education and awareness around the common diagnoses like torticollis, plagiocephaly, and oral ties in babies. Most of the time, an average pediatrician visit takes about 10-15 mins depending on parent concerns and honestly, parents are either told to “wait and see” or are provided with a “one size fits all” handout to try before the next visit. These visits can be stressful specially if as a parent you feel your concerns are not validated by your provider and you are now left at the mercy of Google to find your answers.
That's why I started Babies and Beyond Physical Therapy with a mission to empower and educate new parents about how to handle their newborn, how to play with their baby, how to position their baby through different stages of growth and development or what kind of toys to use to foster development of different motor skills – both fine and gross motor. I provide tips on how to boost your baby’s milestones and the do’s and don’ts to prevent muscle tightness or flat spots on head. I want the parents to cut down their time online looking for answers to their questions on google or other social media and instead spend time connecting with their baby.

We are a concierge PT practice, meaning we come right to you! It's like having access to an expert care team right at your fingertip. You get access to your PT via text, email, and phone call. Research shows that babies treated in their natural environment benefit the most out of therapy in their early years of life. We treat babies in their natural environment – home, daycare, you name it. If you need us to work with your child’s play skills, we can work with you at a local park as well. We believe in being natural and nurturing your baby’s milestones and boosting their developmental journey using resources that are readily available to us in nature without spending too much on special equipment.

Babies and Beyond Physical Therapy is out of network with all insurances. We believe every child has a right to be treated irrespective of their medical benefits. And as responsible parents, YOU make decisions for your child’s needs. This allows us to begin treatment for your child without waiting for authorizations and approvals as early as within the same week. For some diagnoses like Torticollis and Plagiocephaly, TIME is the KEY! We do not want insurance dictating your child's treatment needs and access to skilled care. We will provide you with an invoice upon request for you to submit for reimbursement. Out of state virtual services are not reimbursable. Payment is due in full at the time of service. Please check your out-of-network benefits with your insurance plan. If you are concerned about payments, please reach out to us about options.
